New Directions in Academic Research Library Assessment: How library assessment contributes to the university's assessment programs for academic program reviews, new program proposals approvals, and accreditation reports

This presentation includes: Perspectives on why this new direction in assessment is valued. The Library’s Perspectives and The Academic Department/College Perspectives. Include overview of the library’s assessment process and reporting ability to support content and services needs for academic programs under review, new programs being proposed, or accreditation reports. Examples of what we count and what counts based on feedback for those participating in these new directions in assessment. Lessons learned along the way and next steps.

Three years and change: Making friends in all the right places to innovate

This presentation will demonstrate how a mid-size independent academic library used a three-year technology plan co-created with campus IT to innovate the user experience in teaching and learning, space planning, and customer service. Key partnerships with academic affairs and participation in campus wide innovation task forces will be shared to demonstrate how a 43% annual increase in technology investment was used to align the Library with the universities priorities to support student success.
